Smart at Work, Smart at Home Cybersecurity Workshop

Event Objective

Increase employee awareness and influence behavior around cybersecurity by helping employees understand how online safety at home directly impacts security at work.

Engagement Overview

Fareedah Shaheed was invited to speak at a FedEx internal cybersecurity event to deliver a live virtual workshop focused on staying safe online both at home and at work.

The session was designed to:

• Help employees understand the connection between personal digital habits and workplace security

• Present cybersecurity in a clear, relatable, and engaging way

• Encourage curiosity and motivation to continue learning about cybersecurity

• Offer practical guidance that employees could immediately apply in their daily lives

The presentation intentionally differed from traditional security trainings by prioritizing storytelling, real-world examples, and accessibility over technical jargon.
